Words we’ve heard alot of conversation this past week include, “What margins in my life did I have for God to work”, or “I knew God wanted more of me”, or “Have I planned out my life so well that there is no room to see God in action?” and even “So there I was having never considered going overseas…”
We are on campus this week at our agencies headquarters where we are enjoying the fellowship of fellow believers whose “callings” all look different in practice but are all united in one desire, obedience to God wherever it leads. J– and I have both felt that one of the most powerful things about this week thus far (and the training has been amazing!!!) has been the conversations with others who are obeying God. We have been deeply moved to serve Him more passionately and obey more fully hearing how God has moved and worked in each of the hearts of those who are here on campus. Some are going out for two years, some for a lifetime all are practicing obedience.
It amazes me that in a room of philosophers, educators, nurses, doctors, social workers, chemists, biblical scholars, anesthesiologists and counselors the theme is the same, love for God and a desire to obey where He calls.
