Welcome and thanks for visiting!

Thank you for joining us!

“Mom, I can help you I’m a great baker!”, P-‘s five year old voice cracked with excitement as she dashed into the bedroom to grab a stool and bring it to the counter where I had just started to make a loaf of bread. “Sissy, what are you do….ooh Mom I’m a good helper too!” said R- as her three year old feet stomped in, then out of the kitchen, a fountain of words erupted as she dragged a chair in to see and join in the excitement. A sigh escaped from my lips as I glanced at the clock and recognized that a simple loaf of bread would take a bit longer, and be a bit messier then I anticipated, but perhaps if I just postponed the laundry until…”I do! I do!” W- ran as fast as his legs would carry him into the kitchen and the sound of his sweet one year old voice interrupted my thought process as I lifted him onto the chair and glanced up only to see flour all over the counter. What would motivate anyone to lengthen a simple task by allowing toddlers to be involved. Simply put love.It is this same love that allows broken people redeemed by God to participate in what God is doing in His creation. So we have the opportunity to join with God in his work, not because he needs us, but because he loves us and desires to be in relationship with us.What a privilege to be called children of God and what joy it is to “bake bread” with Him, knowing we are able to join Him where He is working because He loves us.Thank you for joining with our family as we journey to South Sudan through prayer. Our lives have been shaped by those before us and the community we have had with you all. We desire to continue sharing our experiences and hearing yours as we pray to the One who is in control. We are thrilled to be partners with you for the sake of the Gospel as God moves us forward in this new direction.” The water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” -Jn 4:14b-

Loved your analogy and I concur that your obedience, as it has for so many years, continues to urge me to deeper obedience and wonder as I journey with God. Dad and I are blessed to be joint heirs in the kingdom with you. Kisses and Hugs sent your way.
