How we celebrate 8yrs here

Happy Birthday to our NgaMelut!

We had a fabulous time celebrating 8 years of getting to know our big girl. Because we all had school on the actual day the festivities started the day before when our teammate joined us for a 3D movie (rio2). It was our first 3D experience and everyone but Daniel enjoyed it (the experience not necessarily the film)

We then went out to McDonalds (a big treat here) and there was a playground even which was lots of fun. NgaMelut then got to pick out her gift from Grandma Mary and she chose a beautiful dress.

The next day (her real birthday) we made cake for her class – it was a big hit

We enjoyed her favorite dinner  (bbq chicken and zucchini)

A week later we had a few of her friends over for a fancy tea party.

Favorite quote of the party was, "oh I know how to eat tea sandwiches!" and said girl immedietly sticks her pinky in the air to eat.

Opening gifts. One family was also recently evacuated from another country and got PJ some clothes since they knew she had left her behind. It was so sweet.

When we were preparing to leave our passport country I remember our girls being most concerned about who to share their birthdays with. We praise God that in each country we have celebrated birthdays in (four now!) he has provided special people to enjoy the day with. Such grace!
