We are continuing to document ways that God has “moved mountains” to get us into South Sudan. We talked about his provision of a house, and a way to get that house in country but the other piece to this puzzle is a way to get our household supplies and food in.
When moving into South Sudan for the first time as a long term worker you bring in more supplies then you would if you are just resupplying for food. We need to bring in the items we need to “set up home”. A normal flight does not have the weight capacity to do this for a family our size. Not only does the provision of the large cargo plane (buffalo) allow our home to get into the country swiftly it allows our belongings to as well. We were able to send over a large portion of our food and household supplies on that plane this includes cooking fuel, a stove and mattresses for our family. We are amazed at the provision of this plane and the timing. It is going in at exactly the right time for us to place our items on board and have not only a home but supplies to cook and clean with inside in record time.
