Merriest of Christmas from our family to yours!<\/p>\n

This year has brought many changes to our plans, we are in a different country then we expected to be for Christmas as we await visas for language school but have enjoyed the rhythm of advent here in Nairobi. I, Abook, have been thinking often about our plans and how we tightly tend to cling to them and then measure our happiness or success on how they are fulfilled. This year the Lord has been teaching me that wherever we are, we are to be all there. I have seen so many blessings in the day to day in this unexpected location and unplanned stay.<\/p>\n

I am not sure where you are this Christmas, if the holidays have brought with them all that you anticipated and longed for or if they have left you feeling a bit unsettled as you celebrate but my prayer for you is that wherever this advent finds you, you will be all there, embracing the joys, and the gifts this season brings and relishing not in what you expected but in what is…the beauty of today.<\/p>\n

Mostly this holiday may you know the hope that is ours, Immanuel God with us.<\/p>\n
