Introducing little miss E.

untitled (40 of 40)

We wanted to introduce you to our youngest. Miss E. was born on April 19th a few minutes before 9am in Nairobi Kenya. On this, her one week birthday, we wanted to celebrate her life story thus far. God knew what these first few pages of her life would look like, and this past week we have often prayerfully pleaded out to our God on her behalf leaning on the goodness of His character and finding grace rising up to meet us as each part of her story unfolded.

Her name means “bright or torch and God’s favor or grace” we had hoped that our girl’s life would shine out God’s grace and favor to those around her when we chose it. My goodness what a testimony it is to God’s grace every piece of these last seven days of her life. What joy to know He gives us not only the grace of salvation but daily grace as well to remind us of His love. I told her ICU nurse yesterday that her birth has felt like a lifetime ago and she reminded me it was – E–‘s life ago. What a grace filled week it has been.

We thought on this, her one week birthday, we would take a picture celebration through her life thus far. Celebrating with you God’s sustaining grace each day. We hope as you scroll down you can see God’s favor in her life as we do and can read through the images the amazing ways we were sustained as the pieces unfolded.

Before E. was born my friend told me she had a vision that E. was a strong warrior leading others into spiritual battle. This description has often come to my mind as so many have been praying so fervently for us and her. Miss E. has truly driven us to pray in ways we hadn’t before, and along with so many of you I hope we can look back and say, I know God better for coming before His presence in prayer. Miss E.’s life story has led us charging forward into the presence of God. May we seek to rest in him in the future in the same way we came to him with the burden of her health and life.

We are updating regarding Miss E. on facebook. Join us there for health updates.

From Hebrews 4:16 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” This is what I do as I weep with thanksgiving, praise to Him and concern for you all. Am continuing to pray. Thank you for sharing this journey with us
